Who We Are
A nonprofit built on a promise — dedicated to keeping families together and building pathways to lasting stability.
A Promise Made to a Child
The story of Community Living & Wellness Centers of America, Inc. begins with a nine-year-old child living in an unsafe home — and a promise that would not be forgotten.
Executive Director Mitanní Spruill-LeSueur witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of housing insecurity on children and families. That encounter became the founding commitment of CLWCA: to ensure that no family should have to endure the fear and instability of unsafe housing.
From that promise, CLWCA was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since inception, the organization has filed annual Form 990-N notices with the IRS and conducted annual board meetings, maintaining its tax-exempt status and organizational governance in good standing.
Today, CLWCA works to connect families and veterans with housing stability, essential necessities, education, wellness resources, and pathways to independence — one family at a time.
Our Mission
To prevent homelessness, preserve family unity, and connect individuals and families with housing stability, essential necessities, education, wellness resources, and pathways to independence — with dignity and compassion.
